Wedgwood was founded in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood in Burslem, England.

A skilled potter and entrepreneur, he became famous for his innovative designs and use of new manufacturing techniques. Wedgwood quickly became one of the most successful and influential ceramic manufacturers of its time.

One of Wedgwood’s most significant contributions to pottery was the development of jasperware, a type of stone porcelain that was highly decorative and popular during the Classicist period. Wedgwood also introduced the first fine English China in the late 18th century, quickly becoming very popular with royalty and the wealthy.

Wedgwood is known for producing high-quality ceramics and fine bone china, including dinnerware, tea sets, and decorative items. Wedgwood has collaborated with renowned designers such as Vera Wang and Jasper Conran to create modern and stylish collections while maintaining the company's rich history and innovative heritage.
