Arabia is one of the oldest and best known brands in Finland. For 150 years, Arabia products have been found in homes all over the world. In 1873, a porcelain factory was established in Helsinki for the Russian market, which became world famous years later. Over time, the product range expanded to include art ceramics, household and utility items, sanitary ware, tiles and even bricks.

Birger Kaipiainen joined Arabia at the age of twenty-two and quickly became one of Arabia's most influential designers, drawing inspiration from the Italian Renaissance. He became best known for his unique stoneware and the Paratiisi tableware series. Series such as 24H and Paratiisi are now classics that stand for quality and are more popular than ever.
