The MEISSEN porcelain manufactory was founded in 1710 by August the Strong, Elector of Saxony, after the court alchemist Johann Friedrich Böttger had successfully produced porcelain for the first time in Europe in Meissen in 1708.

For 300 years, MEISSEN has been producing the finest porcelain by hand. In addition to table porcelain and decorative items, limited edition masterpieces are created yearly, coveted worldwide. Meissen porcelain combines history, tradition, and modernity and is an expression of the masterful skills and rich experience of the craftsmen of the manufactory.

The crossed blue swords stand as a trademark of the manufactory for porcelain products of the highest quality.
